My mission is to help organizations reach their maximum social impact potential

About Anna

My Story & Approach

I have always been passionate about spending my time doing work that has a direct positive impact on people’s lives, especially those who face the greatest barriers.

I’m both creative and scientific. I love using my rigorous academic research experience and knowledge to the table, while also getting creative to find efficient ways to improve and measure social impact that are the best fit for each organization’s needs. And I always bring a gender and equity lens to my social impact work, which I see as both a moral imperative and a good business decision.

I work with a variety of organizations, from private and corporate foundations, to universities, nonprofits and social enterprises. I have a particular interest and experience in innovative health models that reach the BoP, but have worked extensively in other sectors like financial access and impact investing. Latin America is a focal point and I speak Spanish, but have global experience on projects throughout sub-Saharan Africa and Asia.

My Experience & Credentials

My previous experience includes working on private sector global health delivery models on a team at the UCSF Global Health Group, where I researched and convened global actors around social franchising and malaria treatment and diagnosis. Before that, I led the Mexico country office for Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), overseeing rigorous research projects to understand the social impact of microfinance, small business training, voter messaging and more.

I have an MPA from NYU Wagner, a BA with distinction from the University of Washington, and completed the MIT J-PAL Impact Evaluation Executive Education course.

My Values

Equity is my foundation and aspiration in all the work I do. I have a background in a social determinants of health approach and prioritize working toward a more equitable and inclusive world in all that I do. I believe women’s rights are human rights, black lives matter, no human is illegal, science is real, and love is love.

In my consulting work, I operate with integrity, honesty, open communication and always aim to provide high value to my clients. If you are looking for help with your social impact strategy and these values sound like a good fit to you, please get in touch!

You Belong

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest. I’ve traveled the world - to every continent except Antarctica - and lived in New York, Cusco, Mexico City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, before making my way full circle back to Seattle. I still absolutely love to travel, but more often these days you can find me cooking, baking, listening to independent radio and enjoying the PNW with my husband and three lovely kiddos.
